Chapter 1 of a New Book

Life is fluid. Like a running brook. That is how my life has been since I last looked at this site.
A few emails have been coming to my email saying I need to moderate a comment…so I have sat down to visit it.
I am now 64 years old. I retired when I was 60 years old. It will be 4 years retired on October 30th,2022. Took the big cut in income because I just had nothing left in me to do the job. I told my husband that I would work parttime to supplement my pension. The good part is that he was still working so I didn’t have to! Started drawing on my social security when I turned 62!
Looking back, I am so grateful that I pulled out when I did! I did not have to work during the ‘covid times’.
After retiring, I would periodically visit the job site. I enjoyed seeing the individuals that attended the day habilitation program, and some of the staff that i had worked with! What a wonderful, freeing feeling to walk out when I was done visiting! Unfortunately, that came to a screeching halt when covid hit.
I kept pretty busy with a barn half mile from my home. Met the person quite randomly one day. I happened to be riding Ginger down the road and saw horses out in the paddock. The barn had been empty for awhile.
The woman heard me and came out of the barn to talk to me. She was renting the barn with a small indoor arena attached. She lived 2 miles down the road. Fast forward….we got to be friendly and since she worked fulltime and her husband couldn’t, I would help her out.
Chapter 2 will be coming soon!
